Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members, and the store brand in a fast-paced retail setting. You will greet customers, deter theft, respond to incidents, and document actions using Target's case management system and video surveillance.

The role requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to work flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays), and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state or local licensure requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners and other tech.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience and greet guests.
• Help guests find items or resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards.
• Leverage de-escalation tactics and use security cameras as needed.
• Document incidents in the case management system per AP policy.
