Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Norfolk, VA to help keep guests, team members, and assets safe. You will greet guests, monitor activity, and respond to incidents using our video surveillance system.

The role requires 18+ and a high school diploma, flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Training covers de-escalation, loss prevention, and store safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with needs to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents and document them promptly.
• Use Target's video surveillance system to monitor activity.
• Assist with merchandise loss prevention and theft apprehension as needed.
• Work flexible hours and maintain safety and security standards.
