Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to safeguard guests, team members and the brand by applying intelligence-led security, de-escalation, and incident documentation. You’ll support loss prevention, respond to incidents, and help maintain safe, welcoming store conditions.

Ideal candidates are comfortable in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, enjoy teamwork, and can work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help them find what they need for a smooth shopping experience.
• Support teammates and assist peers while staying positive and respectful.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards throughout the store.
• Respond to security incidents and document them in the case management system.
• Conduct merchandise loss recoveries and assist with theft apprehension as needed.
• Perform front-of-store checks to prevent theft and monitor trends.
