Job summary

Target is hiring for a Security Specialist responsible for protecting guests, team members and store assets. The role emphasizes de-escalation, crisis response, and effective use of Target's video surveillance system to document incidents.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 18+ years old, and the ability to work a flexible, physically demanding schedule including nights and weekends. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Meet any state or local licensure or legal requirements for the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and other tech as directed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with needs to provide a smooth shopping experience.
• Resolve issues and thank guests at every transaction.
• Support team and adapt to business needs with a positive attitude.
• Promote a safe security culture and maintain safe standards store-wide.
• Respond to and document security incidents promptly using case management systems.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and assist with apprehension per AP policy.
