Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help keep guests, team members, and assets safe in a fast-paced retail environment. You will respond to incidents, document cases, and support loss prevention efforts while maintaining excellent guest service.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to work flexible hours. Training is provided, and you will use surveillance and case-management tools to protect store assets.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help them find what they need to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
• Submit documentation in the case management system following AP policy.
• Maintain a safe environment and communicate safety concerns.
