Job summary

Target in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests and team members and secure the store environment. You will utilize incident documentation, video surveillance systems and de-escalation techniques to maintain safety and prevent theft.

The role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Training is provided to ensure compliance with AP policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritizing tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the door and during interactions with a warm, helpful attitude.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues.

• Document security incidents accurately in the case management system.
