Keenfinity Group in Fairport, NY is seeking a Software Test Automation Co-op to participate in design, development, integration and testing of software for security products, working with product and development teams to identify test cases to meet project requirements.

You will join a cross-functional team of software engineers, test engineers and product managers and handle tasks from design through development, integration and testing.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or another technology-related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Software development experience in Python required.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts including unit and integration test and automation of test procedures preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, including analysis of existing software code and utilization of software tools preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both a technical and non-technical audience preferred.
• Willingness and ability to take ownership and work independently in an organized and structured fashion required.
• Knowledge of Agile development methods preferred.
• Software experience with real-time embedded systems written in C / C++ using OOP principles preferred.
• High level of self-motivation, a drive for self-development and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Participate in the development of either test automation, or supporting infrastructure, for a new product, a cloud-native security panel ecosystem.
• Verification of automated test of software and embedded firmware platforms.
• Evaluate results of repeatability and reliability studies.
• Troubleshoot product and test equipment, propose and implement fixes.
• Engage a data driven approach to product performance, trending reports, and analysis of test results.
