Job summary

Keenfinity in Fairport, NY seeks a Product Quality Engineer to verify and validate hardware, firmware, and software across the product lifecycle, translating requirements into verification activities and collaborating with engineering, product management, automation, and quality teams to ensure compliance and quality.

This role helps build a scalable regression testing strategy, develops test plans, executes manual tests, and maintains traceability from requirements to verification results,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in quality assurance, verification and validation, systems testing, or product testing.
• Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and test cases from product requirements.
• Strong understanding of software and hardware testing methodologies.
• Experience executing structured manual testing activities.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
• Experience documenting and managing software and hardware defects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering, quality, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Review product, system, and regulatory requirements for clarity and traceability.
• Develop verification strategies to demonstrate compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain requirements traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and verification results.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, and test cases for hardware, firmware, and software products.
• Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, system, performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for regression testing and automation.
• Work with automation engineers to transition suitable manual test cases into automated regression tests.
• Execute manual verification and validation testing.
• Document test results and provide clear pass/fail assessments against requirements.
• Investigate, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Support regression, integration, and end-to-end system testing activities.
• Verify fixes and perform impact assessments for product changes.
