Job summary

Amazon Leo Security Team is seeking a security leader to collaborate with business and engineering teams, defining security priorities and guiding secure-by-default solutions across satellite‑based services. You’ll drive risk reduction, architect secure tooling, and influence product direction to protect customer data.

You will work in a dynamic environment, secure critical systems, and contribute to cutting‑edge security research and tooling for Amazon Leo’s satellite broadband platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years delivering security software in a production environment.
• 3+ years experience developing distributed software systems in Java, Rust, GoLang or C/C++.
• 3+ years experience working with cloud-native environments.
• Experience with PKI, HSMs, Encryption, Cryptography, Key Management, or Secure Device Provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to define security priorities and act as a trusted advisor.
• Provide direction to product leaders to ensure security is built in from the start and measure security execution.
• Guide engineers toward secure-by-default solutions and advocate for new testing tools and detection mechanisms.
• Propose a security vision that protects customer data across Leo systems.
• Hack bleeding edge security technologies and contribute to ongoing security improvements.
