The Security Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations during an assigned shift, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, company assets, and facilities. This position provides direct leadership, supervision, scheduling, training, and performance management of the Security Officers.
The Security Shift Manager directs and coordinates security activities throughout the property. The role serves as the primary security leader during the assigned shift, responding to significant incidents, managing emergency situations, and overseeing all security-related activities to ensure a safe and secure environment.
This position is responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, federal and state laws, and company policies and procedures. The Security Shift Manager acts as a compliance resource for the Security Department and works closely with regulatory agencies and law enforcement as necessary to ensure operational integrity and regulatory adherence. This role is responsible for all security systems, alarm functions, emergency response procedures, and incident management protocols. This individual plans and coordinates staffing assignments for daily operations, special events, and emergency situations.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a closely related field. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proven ability to effectively interact with guests, team members, and management in a professional and customer-focused manner. The candidate must be capable of investigating incidents thoroughly, documenting findings accurately, and preparing detailed reports. A solid understanding of safety and security procedures, emergency response protocols, and conflict resolution techniques is highly desirable.
