Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Program Manager, Security Services to lead daily security operations across hospital sites and off-site locations in Illinois. You’ll manage incident response, budgeting, and data analytics to drive safety metrics and compliance, while partnering with law enforcement and NM leaders to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires 5+ years in healthcare security leadership, IAHSS certifications, strong communication, and the ability to implement security

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED.
• IAHSS Basic, Advanced and Supervisor exams within defined timelines.
• 3+ or more years of leadership preferred in healthcare security environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a health care safety and security role.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Writing skills to complete reports.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• May require NRC Order EA-12-194 Trustworthy and Reliable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains all security operations and systems for regional hospital and real estate portfolio.
• Ensures security, safety, and customer service for patients, visitors, physicians and employees.
• Responds to campus security breaches with definitive actions.
• Oversees incident response planning and investigations; assists with corrective action.
• Manages annual budget and management plan for Security Services portfolio.
• Aligns day-to-day operations with regional and system goals.
• Identifies and mitigates security risks; leverages procedures to resolve issues.
• Develops relationships with internal partners to promote safety.
• Supports security projects and technologies including access control, CCTV, and SOC systems.
• Ensures compliance with EOC, Joint Commission, and IEMA standards.
