Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Security Officer I to help protect patients, visitors, associates, and staff. You will respond to incidents, conduct patrols, and ensure access controls are maintained in a hospital setting.

Under Security Leadership, you will investigate disturbances, prepare descriptive reports, monitor alarms and CCTV, and coordinate with emergency services. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required, with certifications to follow after hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to write clear, comprehensive security reports.
• Experience in healthcare security is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and quell incidents and disturbances to maintain security.
• Completes descriptive reports for supervisory personnel.
• Notifies police, fire, and prepares reports.
• Performs patrols of hospital buildings and grounds.
• Monitors access control, alarms, and video systems.
• Provides escorts for staff to vehicles as needed.
• Responds to emergency codes per guidelines.
