You will identify customer needs and guide them through repair steps to restore full functionality, while inspecting systems and providing reports. The role requires 2 years in low-voltage or security, knowledge of Bosch, Honeywell, and similar platforms, and a valid driver's license.

A Johnson Controls Security Technician is a troubleshooter and service expertpossessingknowledge and experience with intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers.Candidate willpossessstrong verbal communication skills as theyidentifythe needs of the customer and theninform themofnextsteps and processes to repairthe systemas needed to return full functionality. Candidate willpossessskills and experience to inspect said systems to ensure proper functionality andprovidewritten or digital reports to customer and company as needed.
Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
Readjust equipment,repair,or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or otherappropriate agencies.
Performs repair and/or inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV, Access Control systems and fire alarms (if applicable).
Assistsfellow service technicians with system repairs and completes minor repairs including battery replacement.
Tests operation of system to the customer monitoring center to properlyestablishservice connectivity.
Complete all forms accurately and customer paperwork as required.
2 years in low-voltage or security industry.
Excellent general knowledge of major security manufacturer platforms including:
Experience with Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell,Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, etc.
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
High school diploma orGED (General Education Development)
Ability to pass thorough background and identity checks.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Ability tooperatehand and power tools.
Ability to unload ladder from fleet vehicle and climb ladder.
Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
Ability to communicate andprovideexcellent customer service
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24 - $36 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
