Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Security Service Technician III to join a leading technology and security solutions organization in the DMV area. This senior-level role will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for supporting complex enterprise security environments, troubleshooting integrated systems, and delivering exceptional service to commercial clients.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with a comprehensive benefits package and a salary range of $110,000–$130,000

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise electronic security systems and integrated security platforms.
• Advanced certifications in Genetec, LenelS2, Software House, Cisco or Microsoft are highly preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance for enterprise access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues across customer environments.
• Serve as a technical escalation point, coordinating with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to restore systems and ensure service excellence.
• Mentor junior technicians, develop technical documentation, and recommend modernization strategies and lifecycle improvements for customers.

This senior-level role will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for supporting complex enterprise security environments, troubleshooting integrated systems, and delivering exceptional service to commercial clients.

Responsibilities of the Security Service Technician III:

• Provide advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance for enterprise access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues across customer environments.
• Serve as a technical escalation point, coordinating with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to restore systems and ensure service excellence.
• Mentor junior technicians, develop technical documentation, and recommend modernization strategies and lifecycle improvements for customers.

Qualifications of the Security Service Technician III:

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise electronic security systems and integrated security platforms.
• Expertise troubleshooting access control, video management, intrusion detection, intercom, and other physical security technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, SQL databases, virtualization technologies, and enterprise networking concepts including VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and PoE.
• Experience supporting system integrations with identity management, visitor management, building automation, elevator control, or related platforms.
• Ability to independently diagnose complex technical issues and provide long‑term corrective solutions.
• Strong customer‑facing communication skills with the ability to work directly with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Advanced certifications in platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2, Software House, Cisco ,Microsoft ,or related technologies are highly preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation of the Security Service Technician III:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 (based on experience)
• Comprehensive benefit package
