Qualifications

• Senior-level field technician responsible for installation, service, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic security systems.
• DC resident is required.
• RS2 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission complex electronic security systems with minimal supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to execute installations per design and specs.
• Troubleshoot system-level problems and perform corrective maintenance on all system types.
• Lead small teams of technicians and apprentices on job sites and ensure work quality and code compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades for timely completion.
• Perform system testing and verification per manufacturer and customer requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed including logs, materials, and test results.
• Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
• Interface with clients professionally and knowledgeably.
• Stay current on industry practices, code updates, and emerging technologies.

Job Overview

The Electronic Security Technician III is a senior-level field technician responsible for the
advanced installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic security
systems including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, intercoms,
and integrated security solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, system-level
troubleshooting experience, and the ability to lead and mentor less experienced technicians
in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission complex electronic security systems with minimal
  supervision.


• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to execute
  installations according to design and specifications.
  


• Troubleshoot system-level problems and perform corrective maintenance on all
  system types.


• Lead small teams of technicians and apprentices on job sites and ensure work
  quality and code compliance.


• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure
  timely and efficient job completion.
  


• Perform system testing and verification in accordance with manufacturer and
  customer requirements.


• Maintain detailed records of work performed including daily logs, material usage, and
  test results.


• Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
