What You’ll Do with “Our Training and Your Experience”
  1. Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to help grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent.
  2. Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times, ensuring Convergint is the first choice for service.
  3. Respond promptly to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, emergencies, and after-hours service calls; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, and debug systems; install projects as needed.
  4. Use troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in malfunctioning equipment or software.
  5. Identify and resolve problems across various service calls, analyze repair needs, provide solutions, and complete necessary repairs or replacements.
  6. Complete accurate and detailed service reports promptly for customer and company records.
  7. Provide system integrations, upgrades, audits, and support for various network systems and equipment.
  8. Ensure all service calls comply with relevant regulations and company safety policies.
  9. Collaborate with team members to improve overall operations.
  10. Perform preventative maintenance on less complex systems.
  11. Assist other specialists in servicing existing customers, responding to service calls, and supporting small projects.
  12. Handle additional duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure, proactively meeting customer needs.
  • Technical skills related to building automation, fire alarm, and electronic security systems.
  • Basic programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Requirements

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience (not required):

  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of door hardware/systems
  • Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, or building automation industries
