Job summary

Embrace Software Inc. is seeking a Lead – Security, Risk & Compliance to establish a centralized security framework across our portfolio, managing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications and driving risk management and governance with Security, CloudOps, and Engineering teams.

The role combines hands‑on security with leadership, building controls, coordinating audits, and guiding teams as the portfolio grows globally.

Qualifications

10+ years of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance experience with end‑to‑end ownership of SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 implementations.
Experience building and operating security policies, control frameworks, audit evidence, and remediation plans (Drata or Vanta).
Hands-on cloud and application security across AWS and/or Azure, including IAM, encryption, API security, and secure development practices.
Experience managing vendor risk, security audits, and customer security reviews, preferably in regulated SaaS environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a centralized security control framework across portfolio companies.
Lead SOC 2 Type I/II engagements end-to-end: readiness, evidence collection, auditor coordination, and reporting.
Lead ISO 27001 implementation, scoping, SSP, internal audits, and management reviews.
Manage cross‑portfolio compliance requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, NIST 800-53) and risk management.
