Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train customers on assigned security and life-safety projects. You will interpret blueprints and diagrams, troubleshoot issues, and support multiple projects from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong customer service, and solid technical and organizational skills. On-site work, driving locally, and travel as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered in lieu of formal education.
• 3–5 years of relevant field service experience preferred.
• Certifications in security, fire alarm, or life-safety systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, certify, and service security and related systems on projects of varying complexity.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provide customer training and ensure client satisfaction; coordinate with Project/Operations Managers.
