Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Security Chief located on-site at Hawthorne Army Depot, Hawthorne, NV. You will lead industrial and physical security programs, ensure regulatory compliance, manage key control/badging, and oversee security staff to protect personnel, property, and classified information.

The role requires DoD facility security experience, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and a focus on safeguarding assets while collaborating with management to align security with contract

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related education considered with security experience.
• 4+ years of security operations experience, incl. DoD facility security and 2+ years supervisory.
• Facility Security Officer certification required or must be obtained per requirements.
• Valid Nevada Driver’s license and PILB registration required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer site security programs with policy and budget input.
• Maintain auditable key control and badging systems; liaise with law enforcement.
• Prepare plans, SOPs, and Depot Protection Plan materials for compliance.
• Develop procedures for investigations and reporting of incidents and security events.
• Supervise Security staff; provide direction, performance feedback, and staffing recommendations.
• Report safety, environmental, or security concerns and drive corrective actions.
