Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking an experienced Guard Training Officer to develop, maintain, deliver, and document security training for Hawthorne Army Depot. You will support new-hire training, weapons qualification, and record audits on-site in Hawthorne, NV, with potential field coverage and flexible scheduling.

The role requires security clearance eligibility, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain PILB firearms certification and government clearances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of security, law enforcement, or military experience, including at least 6 months of training, instruction, or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications required by the Company's Master Training Plan.
• Valid driver's license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain certification as a firearms instructor with the PILB, appropriate government security clearance, and ATF clearance as required.
• If armed, must satisfactorily complete required physical and physical agility testing in accordance with applicable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop security training programs, annual training schedules, facilities, and related budget inputs for the Uniformed Guard force, including Alarm Room Operators.
• Deliver required new-hire and annual Guard training, including classroom instruction, field training, weapons training, weapons qualification, and physical agility testing. Certify required qualifications and monitor annual compliance for applicable employees.
• Compile training, labor, timekeeping, operational, and compliance data for reporting to leadership and outside entities. Develop and maintain SOPs and internal procedures to support consistent Guard operations.
• Coordinate training and certification documentation with Human Resources, Training, and Compliance. Represent Security during inspections, reviews, and audits of training and certification records, and manage the IRP for Security.
• Perform investigations related to vehicle accidents, property damage, discrepancies, or security incidents. Complete incident reports, collect photographs and evidence, and support documentation and escalation.
• Support related security duties including Field Supervisor coverage and flexible scheduling for nights or weekends to meet training requirements. Maintain high ethical standards and comply with Company policies and Standards.
