Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks an experienced Manager, Supply Depot Operations, to lead ammunition receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and transportation at Hawthorne Army Depot. You’ll oversee supervisors, align goals with DoD and regulatory requirements, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will drive planning, inventory accuracy, and space utilization while supervising staff and maintaining mission readiness. A security clearance and Nevada license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline, business, management, logistics, supply chain, operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of military, munitions, depot, ammunition logistics, supply depot, transportation, inventory, or related operations experience.
• Must complete AMC Regulation 350-4 Training & Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Nevada driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead ammunition logistics planning with senior leaders to set goals, priorities, and operating policies.
• Manage inventory control, storage, accountability, and space utilization for wholesale ammunition stocks.
• Direct traffic management and commercial transportation coordination for timely, compliant shipment of ammunition.
• Oversee staffing, budget awareness, equipment, and operational support to meet contract requirements.
• Supervise supervisors and employees, enforce safety and company policies, and drive performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, security, and regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement.
