Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Licensed Driver in Houston, TX. This full-time position involves patrolling commercial real estate properties, monitoring access, and delivering excellent customer service to tenants and visitors while representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; document observations and actions per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial properties, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials per site policy, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Licensed Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.l
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
