Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Houston, TX. You will patrol commercial property interiors, parking areas, and perimeters, maintain a visible security presence, and assist tenants and staff with directions and access control. A valid driver’s license is required, and CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, parking areas, loading zones, entrances and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with directions and deliveries.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and complete incident documentation.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns and security issues to management.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, parking areas, loading zones, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with property procedures; assist with directions, deliveries, and authorized contractor access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, suspicious activity, and other property conditions to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
