Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and regular rounds. You will interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving may be part of your responsibilities. Pay Rate: $14.42 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day TimeMon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance needs within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities and follow established protocols during incidents or evacuations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
• AL Security Professional Registration is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
