Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC team and safeguard Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations across teams, and implement long-term security improvements while staying current with emerging threats.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with security tools and processes such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, application whitelisting, and DLP.
• Experience in log analysis, monitoring, and auditing in a SOC environment.
• Security certifications are a plus (GSEC/SSCP/ECSA/Security+).
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Identify security events and coordinate investigations across multiple teams.
• Suggest long-term process improvements rather than quick fixes.
• Stay updated on threats and implement information security solutions.
• Follow policies, escalate security incidents, and meet defined security responsibilities.
