Job summary

Abbott in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Security Supervisor for Security Operations on the 2nd shift. You will lead a combined team of Corporate Security Partners and SEM Analysts, directing patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities include workforce management, scheduling, PTO approvals, and coordinating with Facilities, EHS, law enforcement, and emergency responders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in security management or related field.
• 4+ years in corporate security or 24/7 operations.
• Hands-on experience in field security and SOC/SEM operations; cross-training planned.
• Familiarity with access control, CCTV, alarms, dispatch, and emergency notification systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work a consistent day/evening/night shift with rotating on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field security and SOC activities for the assigned shift.
• Manage schedules, timekeeping, PTO, and staffing.
• Provide supervisory leadership during critical incidents and coordinate emergency communications.
• Develop employees through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure operational readiness, conduct reviews, and support investigations.
• Cover SP or SEM duties when trained and needed.
