Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI is seeking a senior security professional to lead and develop the physical security systems program. You will supervise teams, oversee access control, video surveillance, visitor and key management, and ensure lifecycle management and regulatory compliance across the division.

This position collaborates with Facilities, IT, EH&S, and regional teams to assess threats, implement risk-based technology plans, and provide after-hours support. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in a corporate security role, with demonstrated increased responsibility and leadership.
• 3+ years of experience in physical security systems design, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management.
• 2+ years of experience applying compliance and regulatory requirements to physical security systems in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise security systems integration, including cloud-based applications, and experience leading employees and/or cross-functional project teams.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, vendor-management, and prioritization skills; travel up to 25% including international travel; after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, coach, and develop security systems employees; establish priorities, assign work, manage performance, and maintain responsive service delivery and continuity.
• Oversee the strategy, deployment, integration, reliability, and daily maintenance of the physical security systems portfolio, including access control, video surveillance, visitor and key management, and related tools.
• Lead system design, implementation, upgrade, and migration with a long-range technology roadmap; ensure high availability and platform integrations; review construction-related drawings.
• Partner with Regional Security Managers, Facilities, IT, EH&S, and other stakeholders to assess threats and develop risk-based technology plans for domestic and international locations; provide after-hours escalation.
• Establish and maintain system policies, records-retention controls, inspections, certifications, KPIs, and audit-readiness to support ISO, FDA, CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, privacy, and company requirements.
