Job Description

We are hiring a Security Operations Manager responsible for staffing, scheduling, and processing payroll for Security Professionals at assigned client sites within the division or branch. The role involves maintaining communication with staff, resolving issues related to pay, morale, or complaints, managing overtime through effective scheduling, and making timely hiring decisions. The manager will address employee performance or conduct issues, administer disciplinary actions, and handle terminations. A comprehensive, week-long onboarding course will support success in this role.

Starting Salary: $53,476.85 per year

Responsibilities:

  1. Interview and hire qualified applicants proactively, following company guidelines. Evaluate low-performing employees for replacement, upgrade, or transfer.
  2. Make initial/conditional job offers and transfers, offering rates, schedules, and benefits aligned with contract requirements. Manage and publish weekly Open Post List and oversee job openings.
  3. Create, modify, and manage post schedules in Winteam to ensure coverage. Keep schedules updated regularly.
  4. Ensure staffing according to contract requirements, manage branch overtime, and maintain a pool of backup personnel.
  5. Process weekly timesheets, update schedules, run payroll, maintain accurate records, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  6. Follow policies on timekeeping, meal and rest breaks, and conduct weekly audits for accuracy.
  7. Handle requests for final paychecks, bonuses, and related issues, representing the company in hearings and other legal or administrative matters.
  8. Conduct disciplinary and counseling sessions professionally, document issues, and follow up for resolution.
  9. Initiate and execute termination procedures, ensuring proper documentation.
  10. Maintain proactive contact with staff, review 'No Hours Report', and address employees on 'no hours' status beyond three weeks.
  11. Promote high morale and low turnover through effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
  12. Enforce policies and procedures, coordinate post-specific training as needed.
  13. Maintain organized work areas, meet deadlines, prepare reports, and address operational issues promptly.
  14. Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of professional experience managing non-exempt employees in a fast-paced service environment
  • Ability to obtain a Guard License if required by the state
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required
  • Effective report writing, communication, and de-escalation skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software like Microsoft Office, Winteam, eHub, CyCop
  • Customer service orientation, professionalism, judgment, and discretion
  • Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills

Additional preferred qualifications include prior security or military experience, college coursework, and experience in scheduling and employee management.
