Babcock Power is seeking a Manager of IT Security to lead day-to-day security operations and advance the security program. The role collaborates with IT and business leaders to translate risk into actionable priorities and to strengthen data protection, governance, and compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities include directing incident response, managing threat detection, overseeing security architecture, and guiding security engineering and automation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Progressive information security experience including security operations, incident response, risk management, and program delivery.
• Experience leading security professionals in a complex, changing environment.
• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance and ISO/IEC 27001/NIST CSF.
• Experience with Microsoft security tools (Sentinel, Defender XDR, Purview, Entra, Defender products).
• Experience with identity and access management, vulnerability management, network security, cloud security, data protection, email security, and security awareness programs.
• Ability to lead major incident response and communicate with technical teams, executives, vendors, and auditors.
• Strong decision-making, accountability, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the security team — set priorities, delegate, coach, and hold accountability.
• Own security operations model: queue health, escalation, SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
• Direct response to major incidents with coordinated executive communications and post‑incident reviews.
• Oversee threat detection and vulnerability management lifecycle from risk prioritization to remediation.
• Guide security engineering and automation and ensure smooth transition to ongoing support.
