Oak View Group (OVG) seeks a Public Safety Shift Lead to assist the Public Safety Manager and Supervisor in coordinating the security and daily operations at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. You will supervise officers, manage shift activities, and coordinate with clients and partners to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for events and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in public facility security or similar environment.
• Ability to guide security personnel or operational teams.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, crowd management, access control, and loss prevention.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety laws and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with security operations and daily facility tasks.
• Provide shift leadership to officers and temporary staff.
• Coordinate with clients, event organizers, and public safety partners.
• Serve as shift point of contact for security and guest issues.
• Monitor deployment of security personnel and ensure adherence to standards.
• Assist training and performance feedback for staff.
• Support emergency preparedness programs and drills.
• Act as Safety Officer during shifts and assist with safety initiatives.
• Document injuries, incidents, and inspections.
• Conduct facility inspections and report hazards.
• Monitor security systems and access controls.
• Perform security checkpoints and patrols.
• Assist with theft deterrence and loss prevention.
• Manage key control procedures for employees and clients.
• Support parking operations and traffic management as needed.
• Review event room sets and facility conditions for issues.
• Contribute to Safety Committee activities and safety program improvements.
• Offer recommendations to improve security operations and procedures.
