Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Public Safety Operations Manager to lead transportation, loading dock operations, event logistics, and campus safety at the MBCC in Miami Beach. You will coordinate with police, fire, and emergency management partners, supervise a team, and drive safety programs while optimizing operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in public safety or venue operations, strong leadership, and the ability to work long hours during events; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in public safety, transportation operations, loading dock operations, event logistics, or related environments.
• Experience in a convention center, stadium, arena, or similar venue in a leadership or supervisory capacity is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered effectively and in accordance with policies.
• Oversee transportation planning, loading dock management, parking, and event logistics for large-venue operations.
• Lead, coach, and supervise staff; plan staffing, performance assessments, and problem resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, policies, and regulatory standards; participate in risk assessments and incident reviews.
• Support budget administration, vendor invoices, and cost controls.
