Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the Palm Springs Convention Center and related venues. This exempt, salaried role oversees daily facilities, safety, and event readiness, with responsibility for process-driven operations and cost controls.

The role requires 5–7 years in facility operations with leadership experience, a B.S./B.A. degree, and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems. OVG offers strong benefits and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading facility operations for large venues or complexes.
• Proven ability to develop and implement procedures, budgets, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and life-safety codes.
• Experience with A/V systems and event support.
• Strong project management and vendor coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily facility operation managers and cross-functional teams.
• Develop and oversee sustainability programs and energy initiatives.
• Manage capital planning and multi-year facility budgets.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and emergency plans.
• Oversee maintenance of building systems and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with clients and producers to ensure event readiness.
