Job summary

Colonial Group in New York seeks a dedicated security professional to serve as the primary contact for residents on security issues, respond to incidents, and supervise contracted security staff. You will perform patrols, monitor cameras, and maintain reports and logs to ensure safe, compliant building operations.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in maintenance or construction-related roles, proficiency in MS Word/Excel, and solid analytical and detail-oriented skills to support security

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in maintenance and/or construction is ideal.
• Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Some knowledge of CCTV.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for residents on security-related issues.
• Respond to major and minor incidents on site.
• Perform vertical and perimeter patrols.
• Monitor all cameras on site.
• Oversee contracted security officer performance and supervise assigned personnel.
• Sign off on contracted officers' reports.
• Distribute letters and flyers to residents.
• Assist with eviction procedures.
• Conduct building inspections and report violations.
• Coordinate with S/D, ASM and local law enforcement as needed.
• Assist fire/police/EMS when required.
• Account for all security equipment.
• Respond to court testimonies as needed.
• Notify SD/ASD of important matters.
• Operate and carry department radio.
• Maintain security booth and logs.
• Conduct parking lot inspections.
• Control vehicle entry and log visitors.
