Job summary

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc, a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation, has an opportunity for a full-time Captain of the Guard in Kinston, NC. The COTG reports to the Sr. Operations Manager and oversees the scheduling, operations, and quality of the service provided to Airbus.

The COTG is responsible for hiring and staffing at their facility. The COTG will coordinate with the Sr. Operations Manager on discipline and corrective actions of employees and has authority to take these actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in law enforcement, security management or related field.
• In lieu of degree, strong security background via Military or security/Law Enforcement experience.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Proficient with access control systems and protection criteria for sensitive materials.
• Ability to supervise subordinates effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
• Experience in labor relations, logistics, and communications.
• Strong analytical, oral, written, and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight of all security operations, including personnel management, patrol coordination, inspections, and emergency response readiness.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels for all facilities under command.
• Ensure security services meet contractual and operational standards.
• Verify certifications, qualifications, and mandated training for security personnel.
• Enforce compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Direct and coordinate responses to security incidents and document follow-up actions.
• Develop and manage guard schedules to ensure coverage and minimize overtime.
• Oversee payroll processing for security staff.
• Maintain inventories of uniforms, equipment, and assets.
• Manage operation and readiness of company-owned security vehicles.
