Job summary

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc. in Kinston, NC is seeking a full-time Captain of the Guard (COTG) to lead security operations at the Airbus facility. You will supervise security personnel, manage staffing, and ensure safety of people and assets, reporting to the Sr.

Operations Manager. Strong leadership and security background are essential; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in law enforcement, security management, or related field.
• Military service, security operations experience, law enforcement experience, or a combination may substitute for the degree.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
• Strong knowledge of access control systems and protection criteria for sensitive materials and facilities.
• Ability to supervise subordinates effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight of all security operations, including personnel management, patrol coordination, inspections, and emergency response readiness.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels for all facilities under the Captain of the Guard’s command.
• Ensure the quality of security services meets contractual and operational requirements.
• Verify staff certifications, qualifications, and required training.
• Enforce compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Direct responses to security incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
• Develop and manage guard schedules to optimize coverage and minimize overtime.
• Oversee payroll processing for security staff.
• Maintain inventories of uniforms, equipment, and assets.
• Manage operation, maintenance, and readiness of company-owned security vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as needed by the Operations Manager.
