Job summary

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is seeking a Security Operations Intern for Spring 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. This on-site, part-time internship supports the Director of Security Operations with day-to-day operations, policy updates, and event-related security tasks.

Ideal candidates are college students (sophomore–senior) majoring in Security; prior security experience not required, but comfort around children is a plus. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior at the college level, majoring in Security (preferred).
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer and software skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Update Policies and Procedures within the Security Department
• Fire Extinguisher audit and relocation
• Assist with reviewing and updating Security Standard Operating Procedures
• Support the Safety Warden Program
• Assist with school group arrival and departure procedures
• Support security operations related to Museum events as needed
