Job summary

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis offers a Spring 2027 AV & Creative Technology Design Intern position. You will gain hands-on experience developing and maintaining technology across galleries, including assisting with opening/closing the building and mobilizing a new gallery.

The role is part-time and on-site, requiring 1–2 years of college coursework and PC/Mac proficiency. Exposure to projectors and lighting technology is desired; prior theater or live AV experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1 to 2 years of college coursework.
• Preferred major in AV-related, entertainment, or technology.
• PC and Mac experience.
• Understanding of projectors and lighting technology.
• Part-time position, approximately 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Open the building to ensure all interactives are working.
• Brainstorm new gallery interactives and technologies.
• Install technology in new galleries.
• Create documentation for new gallery builds.
• Attend team and project meetings.
• Work AV events.
• Shadow staff to get hands-on training.
