Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Operations Dispatch professional in Los Angeles to join its 24/7 SOC. You will monitor alarms and CCTV, coordinate rapid responses, and ensure precise communication between monitoring systems and security teams.

The dispatcher will handle multi-channel communications, log incidents, and support uniformed staff with accurate information, contributing to a safe environment for clients and employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CA guard card preferred or required by state regulations.
• Experience in dispatch, alarm monitoring, or security operations.
• Ability to analyze information and prepare clear reports.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and CCTV to detect incidents.
• Answer phones and operate IP-based telephone system.
• Dispatch to appropriate units and log calls.
• Coordinate with SOC staff for incident documentation.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees and vendors.
• Ensure timely, accurate information flow from SOC to management.
• Maintain incident reports and support security operations.
• Work in a 24/7 SOC environment.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Operations Dispatch. The Security Operations Center Dispatcher has high visibility and is directly accountable for the effective and efficient flow of information from the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Control Rooms to the Corporate Security Management. The SOC is a 24/7 operation which provides the Security Operations Team with a comprehensive monitoring approach to provide broad visibility of activity across the enterprise, leverages intelligence from several systems and technology databases that provide advanced correlation, and analysis capabilities to deliver a prioritized list of actionable security incidents to the Security Operations Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Alarm monitoring
• CCTV monitoring
• Camera Survey
• Answering phones; operate IP based telephone system
• Radio Dispatch; use multi-channel communications
• Radio and call logging
• Incident Report issuance and collection
• Operations support; routing of call information to the appropriate units for handling
• Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center and its role as a central alarm monitoring station
• Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems
• Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
• Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Work experience must include of the following:
  • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare reports
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency
  • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure
