Salary: $23.00 - $34.63, commensurate with experience
Maintains a safe atmosphere for travelers, visitors, tenants, and employees within Charlotte Douglas International Airport facilities and grounds by performing duties related to aviation security, physical security, and access control. Responsibilities include CCTV monitoring, incident management, employee training, customer service, and inspections of airport premises, vendors, and stakeholders. Responds to security alarms, medical calls, emergencies, and requests for public assistance. Performs security, safety, administrative, and customer service functions to support airport operations. The role requires situational awareness, attention to detail, and discernment. This is an unarmed position.
Knowledge of: Policies, procedures, laws, and regulations relevant to airport security.
Skills in: Computer proficiency with Outlook and Word; effective communication in person, via radio, and in writing.
Abilities to: Communicate clearly with diverse populations; deal courteously and firmly; provide excellent customer service; establish effective working relationships; recognize threats and respond calmly; act independently in emergencies.
High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years relevant experience; or 2-year college degree plus 1 year relevant experience.
