Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Operations Center Operator in Madison, WI. The role involves serving clients across industries by coordinating alarm responses, monitoring systems, and communicating with on-site personnel and responders to maintain a secure environment.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. A minimum of 1 year of security experience and a college degree are preferred. Background checks and drug screening are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent accepted.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet; basic IT skills desired.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors per site policies.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications from the dispatch center; log incidents.
• Coordinate response by dispatching officers and contacting emergency services as directed.
• Respond to incidents calmly, documenting logs and actions clearly.
• Conduct regular virtual monitoring of the premises and report unusual activity.

Job Description

As a Security Operations Center Operator - Experience Required in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, cameras, and communication systems from the dispatch center; document and communicate security-related concerns, service requests, and incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate response activities by dispatching officers and contacting emergency services and/or site contacts as directed by established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear and accurate incident logs and records.
• Conduct regular and random virtual monitoring of the business and perimeter through available systems, reporting unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree, preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
