Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time security officer at a logistics/distribution site in Florida. You will provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security procedures and emergency responses.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document all activities in reports. Candidates should have 2+ years of security experience and a high school diploma; a guard card is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, will undergo background check.
• As a condition of employment, will undergo drug screening.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, entry points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and access-related activities in clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
