Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, building access procedures, and reporting of suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate campus resources and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
