Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a campus in Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol campus buildings, deter security incidents, and provide courteous customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while enforcing site procedures and policies.

This role offers flexible day shifts and requires a reliable team player who communicates clearly and stays calm during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in required reports and logs.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, directions, and other security-related support services.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in required reports, logs, and electronic systems.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, directions, and other security-related support services for the educational location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
