Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Hotel Security Officer for the University City area of Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol campus facilities, assist guests, and maintain a secure environment while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule, including night shifts on weekdays, with a focus on deterring incidents and ensuring a welcoming campus. Training and career growth opportunities are available within our global security platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, property damage, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.
