Job summary

Allied Universal in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Security Officer - Warehouse Surveillance to monitor and protect a busy logistics site. You will patrol dock areas, deter incidents, assist drivers and employees, and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.

This is a full-time, unarmed role with daytime/night shifts; pay is $22 per hour. Candidates need a high school diploma, be at least 18, and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Minimum 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of freight docks, warehouse areas, parking lots, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle, pedestrian, and trailer access in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct visitors and delivery personnel as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while supporting an orderly logistics and distribution location.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
