Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer at the Visitor's Desk Patrol in a commercial real estate setting in New York. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will respond to incidents, monitor access points, and document daily activities while upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

As a Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other designated locations to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintain accurate daily activity reports, and communicate observations to appropriate property representatives and Allied Universal leadership.


• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with non-emergency requests, and maintaining a courteous presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
