Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation.
• Drug screen required by law where permitted.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with proper escalation.
• Conduct regular patrols of property, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitors, tenants, and contractors per site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Residential Development, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned property areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and team members, document observations, and respond professionally to routine situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the property, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
