Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Holyoke, MA. This full-time, on-site role involves patrolling retail/mall locations, providing exceptional customer service to visitors and tenants, and maintaining a visible security presence.

You will respond to incidents, monitor for security concerns, and assist with access control during busy periods. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for hazards and unusual activity; document observations and complete required reports.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and crowd management during normal operations and events.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors and tenants. Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related concerns, policy violations, hazards, and unusual activity; document observations and complete required reports.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and crowd management during normal operations, special events, and/or high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
