Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Mall Vehicle Patrol Driver in Wheaton, MD. This part-time role involves patrolling a retail/mall environment, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and delivering excellent customer service to visitors and tenants.

A valid driver’s license is required, and the position offers flexible day/evening shifts with opportunities to explore additional roles via the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:
