Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver with computer reporting in Falls Church, Virginia. You will patrol retail and mall locations, provide friendly customer service, and maintain a visible security presence during night shifts.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, documenting reports, monitoring access points, and coordinating with management and local authorities. A valid driver’s license, high school diploma, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and emergencies calmly and notify designated personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols in retail areas, storefronts, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate with site management and leadership as needed.

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
